Amanda Kerby
Pilates Teacher Amanda Kerby, born in Riverside, California, grew up a competitive dancer at the age of six. She has won numerous titles including representing the United States in Australia winning the international title of ‘Dancer of The World’ in 2006. Amanda graduated college from California State University, Long Beach with a BA in Dance, and then received her Pilates Certification through BASI. Assisting her mentor Karen Clippinger throughout the west coast, Amanda found just how beneficial and valuable Pilates is, and can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of age, gender, or current fitness condition. Amanda is a lover of movement, nutrition, and health in its entirety. She currently teaches conventions and master classes throughout the nation, and judges dance competitions internationally including Japan, Mexico, and Australia. Amanda just moved up to Carmel from sunny San Diego and is loving her new home! In her free time, she is an avid traveler and loves to enjoy the outdoors feeding her adventurous side going hiking, kayaking, and snorkeling!

Amanda Ziegler
Pilates Teacher Amanda was born in Monterey and started ballet when she was 2, Gymnastics at 5 and synchronized swimming at 6. She has always been an athlete. While training for the 2000 Olympics in synchronized swimming, she broke her back in a snow board accident in 1998. It changed her life when she was told she would never be able to do competitive sports again. In 2001, Amanda began studying yoga. In 2003, she became certified as a Yoga Teacher. In 2005, she became certified as a Yoga Master. Amanda also started taking ballet classes in 2001, then Modern dance and Jazz classes. She studied dance and choreography at San Francisco State University. In 2008 she started taking Pilates classes and finally found her core strength. In 2013 Amanda completed her Pilates Mat and Reformer training.
I have studied anatomy and physiology intensively and have been privileged to work with people of all ages and disabilities. I think my greatest gift is my love to help others. I have been blessed with life experiences that have taught me about body awareness and to heal the body from the inside out. |
